FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (JUNE 8, 2010) – The BRAC Regional Task Force Board of Directors has named Greg Taylor as BRAC RTF Executive Director effective July 1.
Taylor has served as a BRAC RTF board member and a member of the executive committee since 2007. With Taylor’s departure from the board, Tim McNeill has been elected to serve as the board chairman.
“Greg’s experience as chairman of our board, as a board member, and as a former county commissioner in Bladen County will serve him well in his new position,” said Tim McNeill, BRAC RTF board chairman.
Taylor will be responsible for the regional planning, economic development, workforce development and education programs currently funded by the U.S. Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA), local governments in the Fort Bragg region, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
Most recently, Taylor served as Economic Development Director and instructor at Fayetteville State University. He earned his M.B.A. at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Campbell University.
About the BRAC Regional Task Force:
The BRAC RTF is a partnership of governments working with the 11 counties and 73 municipalities surrounding Fort Bragg and Pope AFB. Our mission is to coordinate the planning and identify community impacts as U.S. Forces Command and U.S. Army Reserve Command move to Fort Bragg by 2011.
